CNC PROGRAM ENGINEER

For more than 20 years First Article, Inc. has been a full service contract manufacturer specializing in the production of high quality, complex machined component parts and assemblies. Candidates should have the following qualifications: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Use machine simulation software to ensure collision free code. MILL PROGRAMER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program parts and Design fixtures using HyperCad/HyperMill. Program Swiss and CNC turning centers using PartMaker and SolidWorks Have general knowledge of G&M code functions. Develop manufacturing process for new 3-, 4-, and 5-axis parts. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Experience with GD&T, Self-Starter / Self-Motivated / Flexible / Detail-Oriented. Reliable and dependable. Positive internal and company focused attitude. Must enjoy fast pace and rapidly changing team environment. Strong ability to organize, prioritize and communicate. Responsibility of projects to ensure meeting customer delivery. On-the-job training/growth will be provided for the motivated applicant. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users. Convert designs and specifications into computer code. Consults with supervisors, and other programmers to gather information about program intent & function. S/U and run CNC machines as needed to support new product introduction and continuous improvement efforts. Knowledge of work holdings, Tool holdings and fixtures. Design work holding and fixtures when necessary. Communicate and resolve any issues that pertain to jobs on the floor in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. 3+ years’ machining experience preferred.
