Material Handler ISalary Range:FLSA: Non-ExemptEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: AllReports to: Production Lead/SupervisorJob Description OverviewThe Material Handler I is responsible for the moving and storage of raw materials and finished goods, including the fabrication of products on the pallets, scan finished goods, issues materials to batches, able to handle floor jacks, and operate automated equipment and stretch wrappers.Essential ResponsibilitiesAble to perform Packer I dutiesComply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.Move raw materials (preforms, boxes, trays, etc.) from staging area(s) to required locationsCompletes any paperwork required of Safety, Quality or Production ProcessesContinually check the production lines to ensure that each has all necessary amounts of correct raw materials such as preforms, boxes, trays, etc.Stack finished product to create finished palletSecure finished goods on pallet per customer's specifications. (pack out information)Document required information on reports such as the preform pack ID's, and finished goods pack IDs used.Verify pallet is complete before moving from production lineMove finished product to wrapping staging area, wrap pallets with plastic wrap per requirements. Move wrapped pallets to designated area.Assist with de-palletizing of product, restacking product, reworking productAdheres to all instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping procedures.Clean work area continually i.e., sweep work areasTake trash, recyclable materials and pallets to designated locationsGive breaks as directed by leadTake inventory of raw materials and finished goods as directed by the Lead, scan or delete Pack ID's into MRP system.Communicate any issues or quality concerns related to the product to co-workers, Lead Process techs or shift change co-workersMust be able to properly utilization of Grinders.Any other duties as assigned.Education and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred.Other Skills and AbilitiesAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsBasic math skillsEnglish skills must be proficient to read, write and communicate.Must be able to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.Must be able to operate a pallet jack.Must be committed to the success of the entire organizationAble to multi-task.Any other tasks as assigned.Physical RequirementsRequirements include, but are not limited to:Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.Must be able to reach 7' (84") through the use of steps, other, etc.Work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions.This is a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
