H2E, Incorporated is seeking a motivated Environmental Technician based in the Midland/Odessa, TX area to support and expand our environmental consulting services across West Texas. This position is a key hire as we continue to build our presence in the region, and we are looking for an individual who can operate independently and take initiative in both field and office settings.As a growing environmental engineering/consulting firm, H2E offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects supporting oil and gas clients throughout the southern United States.Key Responsibilities:Perform field and office tasks with minimal supervision in a geographically remote settingSupport spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) complianceConduct leak detection and repair (LDAR) surveys and air compliance activitiesPerform soil and water samplingAssist with environmental site assessments (ESA) and due diligence projectsCollect, document, and manage field data accurately and efficientlyCommunicate regularly with project managers and team membersPosition Overview:This role will primarily involve independent field work throughout West Texas, with additional office responsibilities completed remotely or from a home base. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable working alone, managing their schedule, and representing the company professionally in the field.Candidates must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. This position plays an important role in helping H2E establish a stronger footprint in the Midland/Odessa region.Physical & Travel Requirements:Ability to walk across uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry up to 60 pounds as neededClean driving record requiredExperience operating 4WD vehicles in all conditions preferredRegular travel throughout West Texas is expectedAdditional travel may be required across Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma depending on project needsOccasional overnight travel should be expectedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field1–3 years of experience in environmental consulting or related fieldStrong ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to pass pre-employment and random drug testingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Esri software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, Collector, Survey123, etc.)Prior field data collection experienceFamiliarity with oil & gas operations or environmental compliance programsH2E Benefits:Competitive wagesPaid holidays, vacation, and sick leaveHealth, dental, and life insuranceCell phone reimbursementDiscretionary bonusesSimple IRA with company match (eligible after 3 months)
