Salary: New Opportunity - UrologistLocation: VA Maryland Health Care System - Clarksburg, WVSchedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM | On-call coverage as requiredContract Type: Independent ContractorPosition OverviewThe Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Board-Certified Urologyto provide high-quality care to our nations Veterans. The selected physician will deliver comprehensive urologic services on-site during regular clinic hours and provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.This role offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, focusing on exceptional patient care and service excellence.ResponsibilitiesProvide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients requiring urologic care in accordance with VA standards and clinical guidelines.Ensure patients are seen in a timely manner consistent with VA clinic wait time policies.Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation in compliance with VA requirements.Participate in on-call rotations, including:Weeknight Call: 4:00 PM 7:30 AM (average 10 nights/month)Weekend Call: One weekend per month on averageBe available by phone within 15 minutes and on-site within 60 minutes during on-call hours.Communicate regularly with the Chief of Staff and COR regarding performance measures and clinic operations.QualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU).Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth.Current BLS and ACLS certification required.Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.Commitment to serving the Veteran population with integrity and excellence.Why Join the VA TeamServe those who have served our country.Practice evidence-based medicine with state-of-the-art resources.Enjoy a structured schedule and meaningful work-life balance.
