Plumbing SuperintendentLocations: Norfolk, VASalary: $130K-$150kPosition OverviewThe Superintendent provides on-site leadership for plumbing construction projects. This role leads field teams of 20+ employees across multiple job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise all plumbing installation and repair activities, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm systemsLead and manage large field teams: Foremen, Journeymen, Apprentices, Laborers, and SubcontractorsConduct daily huddles, weekly planning meetings, and maintain 4-week look-ahead schedulesCoordinate work with general contractors, inspectors, engineers, and other tradesRepresent the organization professionally on all job sitesInterpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and applicable plumbing codesMaintain accurate as-built drawings and daily reports using company technologyPlan and track materials, equipment, deliveries, and manpowerEnsure all installations meet contract requirements, healthcare regulations, and local codesServe as the on-site Competent PersonEnforce OSHA, company, and client safety policiesConduct daily JHAs, toolbox talks, safety walks, and PPE inspectionsComplete all safety documentation accurately and on scheduleMentor Foremen and crew members to strengthen leadership, craftsmanship, and productivityPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementSupport field workforce development and succession planning initiativesQualifications10+ years of plumbing experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreman roleProven success managing multimillion-dollar commercial or industrial projectsStrong background in healthcare plumbing systems and environmentsExtensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methodsExcellent leadership, scheduling, and communication skillsOSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordJourneyman license or equivalent experienceAdditional safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Aerial Platform, Forklift, Rigging, etc. are beneficial.
