Mission Statement: Unlocking potential while protecting your most critical assets.Core Values: Care Trust Help (C.T.H.)Summary of PositionThe Project Manager – Industrial Paint Coatings is responsible for the planning, execution, and financial performance of industrial coating and painting projects ranging from $20,000 to $2,000,000. This role oversees projects involving surface preparation, industrial coatings, lining systems, and protective applications across industrial and infrastructure environments.The Project Manager partners closely with estimators, field supervision, and internal support teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, and to quality standards, while protecting profitability and strengthening customer relationships consistent with Niles' mission of unlocking potential while protecting our customers' most critical assets.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartner with estimators and field leadership to plan, schedule, and execute industrial coating and painting projects, including production tracking and progress reportingOwn job cost control, forecasting, change management, and profit protection throughout the full project lifecycleCoordinate surface prep, coating application, curing, and inspection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standardsLead pre‐job and post‐job meetings, aligning scope, safety expectations, staffing plans, and production goalsCoordinate with internal teams including Safety, Purchasing, Equipment, and Workforce Dispatch to support efficient project executionProvide day‐to‐day support to onsite supervision and visit job sites as needed to ensure quality, safety, and customer confidenceCommunicate schedule changes, scope updates, and field conditions to customers and internal stakeholdersMaintain complete and accurate project documentation, including budgets, change orders, production reports, and close‐out materialsBuild and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering consistent, high‐quality industrial coatings workProactively identify and resolve project issues to maintain schedule continuity, quality standards, and safe execution.Ability to travel overnight up to 25%Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and/or relevant project management experience will be considered3-5 years of experience managing industrial paint, coatings, or surface protection projects in industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure environmentsStrong understanding of job costing, production tracking, and margin managementAbility to manage multiple active projects with varying scopes and complexityKnowledge of industrial safety standards, site coordination, and trade sequencingStrong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across field teams, customers, and internal departmentsProficiency in estimating and project management software, as well as Microsoft OfficeStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, contractors, field personnel, and executive leadership.Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.Working knowledge of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and basic accounting principles.Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.Niles Industrial Coatings is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against applicants due to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed, marital status or parental status, height, weight, citizenship status, arrest record, disability, genetic information, military or veterans' status or any other legally protected status by federal, state, or local law.
