Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Title: Supplier Quality EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer to create quality processes and documentation that ensure products and processes meet technical standards. Your role will be pivotal in guaranteeing that final products are safe, reliable, and meet customer expectations while maintaining a cost-effective manufacturing process.Responsibilities+ Lead first article inspections, FMEA, PFMEA, process planning, and out-of-box audits to ensure product durability and identify areas of improvement.+ Conduct audits, qualify, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials and component parts meet quality standards.+ Assist in establishing process controls, quality checkpoints, and processes to ensure equipment and processes meet predetermined quality standards.+ Analyze customer feedback issues, determine root causes, and implement necessary changes to manufacturing processes.+ Participate in cross-functional product development teams, analyze test data, and lead product and process quality reviews to ensure compliance with customer, corporate, and industry requirements.+ Perform root cause analysis and implement, review, and close effective corrective and preventive actions on product non-conformance situations.+ Advocate for the quality system and applicable standards to ensure compliance with the company quality policy and all pertinent regulatory requirements.+ Facilitate communication of quality and customer complaint data to internal stakeholders.+ Assist material review boards to ensure product dispositions meet customer requirements without compromising quality standards.+ Monitor and proactively control product safety and efficacy using FMEA/PFMEA, product design reviews, design validation testing, and inspection and test reviews.Essential Skills+ Proficiency in supplier quality, PPAPs, and first article inspections.+ Experience in quality engineering and quality management.+ Capability in supplier management and process management.+ Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in product or process engineering.+ Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external resources.+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.+ Effective interpersonal relations and team skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred, or equivalent experience.+ Proven track record in collaborating with corporate personnel, suppliers, and customers on quality engineering topics.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
