Data Assurance & Validation Manager

Overview In this role you ensure data accuracy across migration, transformation, and reporting projects. You will combine hands-on SQL work with leadership to guide data quality and validation for complex enterprise environments. You’ll translate business requirements into validation plans, work with clients, and mentor teammates while driving delivery from planning to sign-off. This position sits at the intersection of data engineering and quality assurance, shaping reliable data workflows. You’ll engage with cross-functional teams to improve data integrity and project outcomes. ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end data validation and assurance for migration, transformation, and consolidation initiativesAct as primary client liaison translating business and technical requirements into data validation plansReview and interpret Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents for transformation accuracy and data lineagePerform hands-on SQL analysis and reconciliation across Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQLValidate ETL workflows and transformations using Informatica, DataStage, Azure Data Factory, or AWS GlueCollaborate with data engineers, developers, and BI/reporting teams to resolve data discrepanciesDesign and execute data quality test plans including record-count checks and exception handlingEstablish repeatable templates, reusable queries, and documentation standards for data validationMonitor and report progress, issues, and data quality metrics to leadership and clientsMentor junior team members and coordinate testing deliverables across distributed teamsProactively identify risks and support continuous improvement of data quality practices Key requirements10 years of experience in data assurance, ETL testing, or data migration validationAdvanced SQL skills for profiling, transformation validation, and reconciliationHands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databasesProficiency with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Azure Data Factory, or AWS GlueUnderstanding of STTM and ability to validate transformation logic end-to-endExposure to data analytics and reporting validation (Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE)Strong communication and presentation skills with direct client engagementAbility to work independently and own deliverablesExperience in Agile/Scrum environments and using JIRA or Azure DevOpscommunicationpresentationmentoringSQLSTTM validationETL testing
