Cloud Security Engineer

W2 Only (USC/GC) Position Title: Cloud Security Engineer (Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud)Location: New York, NY (Hybrid; 3 days onsite, 2 remote)Duration: 6+ months (very likely to extend)Interview Mode: 1st round remote (via Teams), 2nd round in person in NYCPosition Description: Join our cybersecurity team as a Cloud Security Engineer specializing in cloud security. In this critical role, you will safeguard enterprise cloud environments across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security risks, enhance security controls, and shape the organization's cloud security strategy. Your expertise will support securing cloud-hosted applications, containers, and networks, while investigating security incidents and automating security processes for improved visibility.Key Responsibilities:Ensure security of cloud environments across multiple providersManage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools to detect and resolve security issuesReview and optimize cloud configurations and architectures for security complianceCollaborate with engineering teams to implement security best practices and mitigate risksSecure cloud-hosted applications, platforms, and container orchestration environmentsSupport cloud network security solutions, including SASE controlsMonitor and respond to cloud security alerts and incidentsContribute to developing and maintaining cloud security policies and standardsAssist with security assessments of AI and emerging cloud technologiesAutomate security workflows and enhance security visibility across cloud environmentsTop Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity experience, with a focus on cloud securityHands-on experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud InfrastructureExperience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) toolsStrong understanding of cloud identity, networking, and security best practicesProven experience supporting application, container, or platform security in cloud environmentsExperience in security investigations and incident response activitiesExcellent problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skillsClear communication skills, both written and verbalPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing multi-cloud environmentsKnowledge of cloud-native architectures and container platformsFamiliarity with SIEM tools such as SplunkInterest or experience in securing AI and emerging cloud technologiesPay Range: $70-$90/hrAbout Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
