The successful candidate will be a seasoned nonprofit leader with at least 3 years of management experience, a strategic and innovative approach, and a proven track record of effectively leading and scaling a performance-based organization. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include maintaining and growing community relationships, developing and executing a strategic plan, managing resources, and collaborating with the board to secure adequate funding. The role demands a relationship-oriented individual who can create and implement a vision, strengthen community partnerships, and is adept at fundraising and communications. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, engaging, and persuasive communicator, with strong marketing and public relations experience, and a history of increasing revenues through donor and grant development. The Executive Director will be the face of the organization, participating in regional events and discourse relevant to the mission. They will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for staffing, programming, fundraising, finance, and the execution of the mission. The role also involves actively engaging and energizing the board, staff, and volunteers, as well as managing a team of support staff and independent contractors. The ideal candidate will be a strong networker and relationship builder, with excellent communication skills, and will be responsible for ensuring the organization's ongoing programmatic excellence and financial sustainability.
