Senior Counsel for Product - Remote

In this critical role, you will shape the development of next-generation payment infrastructures within the U.S. regulatory framework. Collaborating with product and engineering teams, your focus will be on launching and scaling blockchain-driven payment solutions that comply with evolving financial regulations. This position transcends traditional legal advisory, allowing you to define compliance policies and frameworks essential for innovation. Accountabilities Serve as the primary legal advisor to product and engineering teams developing blockchain-based payments and financial infrastructure Provide proactive legal and regulatory guidance on US financial services laws and frameworks, including money transmission and payments regulation Design, implement, and evolve internal compliance policies and product governance frameworks aligned with US regulations Collaborate with compliance, risk, and security teams to embed controls into product design, including KYC, AML, and data privacy Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear guidance for product, engineering, and business teams Ensure product strategy aligns with legal and regulatory standards by collaborating cross-functionally Manage external counsel regarding specialized regulatory matters and support internal reviews related to product risk Requirements J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active admission to at least one U.S. state bar 7+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house, particularly in fintech, payments, banking, or blockchain Strong expertise in US financial services regulation, specifically in money transmission and payments compliance Experience advising on product legal and compliance matters in fintech, cryptocurrency, or payments Proven ability to develop compliance policies and governance frameworks within financial services or tech contexts Capacity to translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidelines in a fast-paced environment Benefits Remote first global workforce Industry leading Medical, Dental and Vision health insurance Company matching 401k with 3% match $1,500 Home Office Set Up Allowance (lifetime max) $75 Monthly internet or phone reimbursement Flexible Time Off Company issued laptop Egg freezing, mental health, and wellness benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
