ResponsibilitiesDecompose high-level business requirements into detailed technical software system solutions that fit into the larger ground system architecture.Work with external teams to design, develop, and implement new capabilities supporting the Direct Access Program and its customers worldwide.Build subject matter expertise within the domain. Minimum RequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen with 2 to 5 years of experience in satellite ground systems engineering or strong experience in broader systems engineering functions.Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or another engineering/computer science-related field.Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.Foundational understanding of satellite ground system components and operational concepts.Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including customer communication and technical writing.Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of operational issues and drive resolution with internal stakeholders and system developers. Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting operational satellite ground systems.Ability to work methodically to identify issues and develop solutions.Experience testing complex satellite ground systems.Ability to understand, follow, and execute rigorous integration and test requirements, cases, and plans.Ability to document detailed training materials.Ability to grasp and contribute to system solutions that meet customer needs.Understanding of computer systems and architectures, including:WindowsLinuxDockerScriptingExperience with AI software development lifecycle and tooling.Team player with the ability to work across multiple functional organizations and cultures.Hands-on individual with a growth-oriented mindset.
