Corporate Vice President, Scrum Master
Location Designation: Fully RemoteRole OverviewWe are seeking a Scrum Master to support the Workday Nexus / Workday Wellness team within the Group Analytics Platform (GAP) Agile Release Train. This role supports a high‑visibility, integration‑heavy platform connecting Workday with enterprise systems, external gateways, and data platforms. The ideal candidate is a delivery‑focused servant leader who goes beyond ceremony facilitation to actively manage dependencies, remove impediments, and drive disciplined execution across application, data, environment, and platform teams.What You’ll DoAgile & SAFe® ExecutionFacilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) with focus on outcomesEnsure consistent application of Agile and SAFe® practicesCoach teams on self‑organization, accountability, and continuous improvementProgram Increment (PI) & Delivery ManagementPrepare team for PI Planning with clear backlog readiness and dependenciesSupport PI breakout sessions and ensure realistic sprint/PI commitmentsTrack sprint and PI progress; surface risks early and drive corrective actionsDependency & Impediment ManagementProactively identify and manage dependencies across: External Partner (Workday)Application and API teamsData and database teamsEnvironment, DevOps, security, and external gateway teamsRemove blockers and escalate impediments through ART governance as neededShield the team from unplanned work and late scope changesIntegration‑Focused Delivery (Workday Wellness Specific)Support delivery of integration‑heavy capabilities, including: Inbound and outbound APIsExternal gateway integrationsNotifications, subscriptions, and profile servicesEnsure sprint commitments account for external dependencies and environment readinessCoordinate execution across onshore/offshore teams and vendorsMetrics, Transparency & GovernanceTrack and report Agile metrics (velocity, predictability, quality trends) using JIRAEnsure sprint commitments are measurable and delivery is transparentPartner with Product Owner and RTE on delivery visibility and governanceStakeholder Communication & Team EnablementAct as a key delivery contact for Product Owners, leadership, and partner teamsCommunicate risks, status, and blockers clearly and professionallySupport onboarding, ways‑of‑working alignment, and continuous improvement initiativesWhat You’ll Bring7+ years of Agile delivery experience; 3+ years as a Scrum MasterHands‑on experience in a SAFe® Agile Release TrainProven ability to manage cross‑team and external dependenciesStrong facilitation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skillsExperience with JIRA and ConfluencePreferred QualificationsSAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe® Agilist certificationExperience with integration‑heavy platforms (APIs, external systems, data pipelines)Exposure to Workday integrations, HR/Benefits platforms, or enterprise gatewaysExperience working with distributed/onshore‑offshore teamsPay TransparencySalary Range: $133,000-$190,000Overtime eligible: ExemptDiscretionary bonus eligible: YesSales bonus eligible: NoActual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
