We are seeking a Compensation Data Analyst to play a critical role in evaluating and evolving our pay structure. This position will analyze current compensation practices, benchmark against market and industry standards, and help transition from a performance-based model to a competitive hourly pay structure—ensuring we remain both attractive to talent and financially sustainable.This role will partner closely with HR, Operations Excellence, and Recruiting to develop data-driven compensation strategies that support business goals, improve retention, and maintain operational profitability.Key Responsibilities Compensation Analysis & BenchmarkingEvaluate current pay structures, including piece-rate models and performance-based earningsConduct market analysis to benchmark compensation against competitors and industry standardsIdentify gaps, risks, and opportunities in current pay practicesPay Model Transition (Piece-Rate → Hourly)Lead analytical efforts to support transition to hourly base payModel different compensation scenarios (hourly rates, incentives, productivity adjustments)Ensure new structure remains competitive, equitable, and aligned with business marginsData Modeling & InsightsBuild financial and workforce models to assess impact of compensation changesAnalyze productivity, labor cost, and profitability metricsProvide actionable insights and recommendations to leadershipCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with HR Director on compensation strategy and complianceWork with Operations Excellence to align pay with performance, efficiency, and productivity metricsCollaborate with Recruiting to ensure pay structures support hiring competitiveness and candidate attractionReporting & CommunicationDevelop dashboards and reports on compensation trends, labor costs, and ROIPresent findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise wayTranslate complex data into practical business decisionsContinuous ImprovementMonitor effectiveness of updated pay structure post-implementationRecommend ongoing enhancements to maintain competitiveness and profitabilityStay current on compensation trends, labor laws, and industry best practicesQualifications High School Diploma requiredBachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Data Analytics, or related field2+ years of experience in compensation analysis, workforce analytics, or financial modelingStrong experience with:Compensation benchmarking tools and market dataExcel (advanced), data modeling, and reporting toolsTranslating complex data into actionable insightsExperience with incentive-based or productivity-based pay models strongly preferredUnderstanding of labor cost structures, margins, and operational efficiencyKey SkillsAnalytical and highly detail-orientedStrong business acumen with ability to balance competitiveness and profitabilityAbility to influence and collaborate across departmentsClear and confident communication skillsProblem-solver with a continuous improvement mindsetWhat Success Looks Like In This RoleSuccessfully develops a competitive hourly compensation model that improves hiring and retentionEnsures labor costs remain aligned with operational and financial goalsProvides leadership with clear, data-backed recommendationsBuilds strong partnerships across HR, Operations, and Recruiting
