This role provides leadership to Team Leads and ensures alignment to safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:SafetyChampion a strong culture of safety across all assigned departmentsEnsure consistent adherence to safety policies, procedures, and accountability standardsReview incidents, near misses, and corrective actionsPartner with EHS team to proactively identify and mitigate risksQualityEnsure consistent adherence to standard work and quality processesSupport escalation and resolution of systemic quality issuesPartner with Quality to drive root cause analysis and corrective actionsReinforce "right first time" quality expectationsOperational ExecutionEnsure Team Leads are effectively managing workflow within departments, aligning team members to the right tasks at the right time, and driving executionMonitor performance metrics and intervene when gaps existRemove barriers impacting safety, quality, delivery, or productivityCoordinate resources across departments to optimize value stream performanceTraining & DevelopmentEnsure team members are trained to standard work and quality instructionsPromote cross-training and development to support flexibility and coverageCoordinate and track training activities within and across departmentsContinuous ImprovementOwn and drive alignment of the department MDI (Daily Management) processEnsure consistent execution of 5S, standard work, and visual managementLead and support continuous improvement initiativesPromote a positive approach to change managementAdministrative & Systems OversightEnsure accurate and timely ERP transactions (SAP preferred)Oversee production order release and execution through Team LeadsSubmit maintenance requests and manage department suppliesProvide input for performance appraisalsReview daily workflow and communicate action plans during department board talksRequirements:Education & ExperienceAssociate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience5+ years of manufacturing experience; electronic assembly experience preferredPrior leadership experience supporting multiple teams or functionsBilingual English/Spanish a plusSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership, coaching, and team development skillsAbility to lead through others and influence across functionsSolid understanding of manufacturing systems, flow, and constraintsExperience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement toolsStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skillsExperience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)BenefitsMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceDisability insuranceTax-saving spending accounts401 (k) plan with employer matchTuition reimbursementPaid company holidaysPaid personal time offHealth and Welfare benefit package for employees working at least 30 hours per week.Disclaimer:This position description, its contents and related documents are representative and not exhaustive of what may be required of an employee in this position.
