X-Ray Tech Location: Craig, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist Duration: Not specified Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 0 License: Must have 2 (or eligible for and obtain within 1 year of hire date) of the following registries: - ARRT registration in Radiology (R) - Computed Tomography (CT) - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) - Mammography (M) - Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) - Sonography (S) - ARDMS registration in Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) - Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB) Certifications: Current BLS certification (or must be obtained within 90 days) Must-Have: - Must be at least 16 years of age - Must be able to legally work in the United States - Must be able to pass a background check - Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable) - Must complete employee health meeting Description: The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for quality and efficient completion of radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation. The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing patient education, quality patient care, and meeting all regulatory compliance. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of imaging procedures in at least two modalities. Practices radiation safety and adheres to ALARA standards. Asks female patients if they are pregnant and protects them from harmful radiation. Performs quality control in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Able to operate equipment consistent with manufacturer’s recommendations. Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or consults with the Radiologist. Assists with clerical duties and patient transportation when required. Answers the telephone, directs calls, and accurately records messages as needed. Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed. Completes equipment downtime form and immediately notifies manager of equipment issues. Flexible in rearranging work schedule to help fill in for emergencies, illnesses, and vacations. Must be self-motivated, use independent judgment, and be able to work with minimum supervision. Notifies Radiologist of all STAT or emergent cases and provides ordering physician contact information. Obtains appropriate informed consent when required. Performs and documents medical history as it relates to the patient and the procedure. Contributes positively and provides support as a team member to all staff. Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory. Submits all written orders, registration documents, and required imaging forms. Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls for service if maintenance is needed. Verifies exam orders, identifies patients through two means of identification, and provides exam education. Verifies that all relevant paperwork is completed and prior studies are available before submitting procedures for interpretation. May be required to obtain additional training or certification in order to meet the needs of the department. Assists or rotates to other imaging modalities when required and within the scope of held licensure and/or registry. Assists with taking call, working holidays, and/or weekends. Demonstrates commitment to representing the organization professionally. Establishes and maintains effective communication and good working relationships with patients and staff. Adheres to attire/dress code per policies and procedures. Utilizes initiative, strives to maintain steady productivity, and is self-motivated. Completes annual education, training, in-service, and licensure/certification requirements. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time as scheduled and completes work within designated timeframes. Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement activities. Strives to uphold regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Follows policies for infection control, safety, and risk management to ensure a safe environment.
