This role blends hands-on fieldwork with engineering development, requiring both technical expertise and customer-facing skills.You will configure and develop application-specific control systems—primarily at customer sites—while also supporting design, testing, and ongoing improvement of control systems for existing products.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, troubleshoot, and support control systems across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic applicationsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plansEvaluate hardware and software deviation requests and recommend design improvementsDraft product modifications and create Bills of Materials (BOMs)Perform root cause analysis and participate in continuous product improvement initiativesSupport Production and Product Service teams with technical expertiseTest software and hardware systems and produce detailed test reportsAssist in introducing new technologies into productsMaintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and industry engagementRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in:Electrical EngineeringSoftware EngineeringComputer Engineering(or equivalent experience — 10+ years in a related field)Experience with embedded systems and programming languages (C, C#, VB.NET)Working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systemsFamiliarity with:Data acquisition equipmentCAN communications (SAE J1939)Proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with editors, compilers, revision control tools, and PLM/PDM systemsStrong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsValid passport and willingness to travel frequentlyPreferred SkillsAbility to coordinate cross-functional engineering effortsStrong troubleshooting across hardware and software systemsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsExperience working in customer-facing or field engineering rolesWhy Join Twin Disc?Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Opportunity to work on innovative, high-impact engineering projects in a collaborative environment.Commitment to professional development through training, mentorship, and industry engagement.A culture that values integrity, teamwork, and engineering excellence.Equal Opportunity EmployerTwin Disc is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
