About our client Our client is a $1B+ AUM venture firm investing from pre-seed through late stage across AI apps and infrastructure, robotics, energy, space tech, and life sciences. The portfolio includes 30+ generational unicorns, with names like OpenAI, Anthropic, Ramp, Rippling, Deel, Mercor, and Kalshi among others.
Role overview The VC Investment Associate will work directly with the founder and investment team across all stages, from pre‑seed and seed through growth and later-stage SPVs. The fund is looking for humble, hungry, and fiercely competitive operators with world‑class ability who are eager to help find and partner with the next generation of category‑defining founders.
Key responsibilities Work closely with the founder and investment team across all investment stages, from seed to growth and later-stage SPVs
Help lead Fortune 500 customer calls to close major enterprise deals for portfolio companies
Support multi‑hundred‑million‑dollar SPV co‑investments alongside top institutional LPs
Develop new sourcing strategies, keep the team organized, and be available for founders
Provide white‑glove, concierge‑level service to a select group of generational founders, handling any task, big or small
Required qualifications 2 to 4 years of post‑undergrad experience in investment banking, private equity, top‑tier strategy consulting, growth equity or venture capital, or as an operator at a top‑tier venture‑backed startup
Track record at a top firm within one of the above categories. Examples Firms: McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Evercore, Centerview, Lazard, Blackstone, KKR, Apollo, TPG, Silver Lake, Thoma Bravo, Sequoia, Benchmark, a16z, etc.
Humble, hungry, and fiercely competitive with a track record of world‑class performance
Strong point of view on where the next generation of exceptional founders is being built
Deep interest in technology startups
Comfortable interfacing with Fortune 500 executives and helping close enterprise deals on behalf of portfolio companies
Strong sourcing instincts and the ability to develop new deal‑flow strategies
Exceptional organizational skills and high agency, with the ability to hold multiple workstreams at once
Degree from a top‑tier university
Willing to work in‑office in San Francisco or New York
Compensation Base salary of $150,000 to $200,000, with total on target earnings range (including bonuses) from $165,000 to $240,000.
