Parts Fabricator

Parts Fabricator Status: Non-exempt (hourly) Position Summary: The Parts Fabricator is responsible for the creation of parts required per product. Prior experience in manufacturing setting familiarity with common fabrication equipment. Core Duties and Responsibilities Operate fabrication machinery Bandsaw Chop saw Lathe Drill press Mill Plasma table Press break Read and interpret engineering blueprints Mark cutting lines on materials Confirm proper fitting and alignment of parts Verify parts created match engineering blueprints Ensure all material identifiers have been transferred from raw material to part produced Clean and maintain fabrication equipment Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferred Experience within a manufacturing assembly position; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude Comfort operating hand/power tools safely and efficiently Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand Ability to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accurately Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office software programs Quality focused and detail-oriented Team player with a positive communication style Ability to stand and/or and sit for long periods of time in performance of job functions Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
