Passionately in pursuit of the perfect beer and never satisfied.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Welcome customers into the restaurant and seat themProvide customers menus and/or inform them of the QR code scannerAnswer customer questions as needed on food items, beers, or retail itemsThank guests and say goodbye as they leaveLook for ways to improve the guest experience by paying attention to details and anticipating needsAlways maintain a positive and proactive attitude with guests and coworkersKnow the menu items, including basic ingredients, preparation, allergies, and sensory descriptions (i.e., sweet, savory, spicy, roasted, etc.)Understand the fundamentals of the beers offered and the brewing processReport a guest opinions, feedback, or concerns to a managerAlert a manager if problems arise or if assistance is neededInform a manager if the host stand becomes overwhelmed or overbookedComplete normal and additional cleaning and sanitation as requiredMaintain clean and fully stocked restrooms.Restock all items in bathrooms and throughout the facility as neededKeep floors swept and free of debrisKeep host stand clean, organized, and stocked with menus and rollupsMaintain a working knowledge of all company and taproom policies and proceduresWear the correct uniform and maintain neat, clean appearancePerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or higher, must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to obtain Food Handlers Card within new hire training periodMust be able to obtain California Responsible Beverage Service certification within new hire training periodMust be available to work weekendsPrior experience in a fast-paced restaurant doing above or similar duties or prior customer service experience is preferredVery strong organizational skills.Ability to always maintain professionalism even under high volume, stressful times, and situationsAbility to manage and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Ability to give high priority to customer satisfactionWhat Firestone Walker OffersEmployee discount of 50% off food, beer, and merchandisePeriodic beer giveaways for employees 21+Flexible Savings Account (FSA)Paid Sick Leave401(k) retirement plan including company paid profit sharing & 4% safe-harbor matchingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
