Job DescriptionDescription:A mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Austin,Texas is seeking a Primary Care Physician (MD or DO) to join its outpatient clinical team. This role provides the opportunity to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based primary care to patients across the lifespan while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model.This physician will provide direct patient care, support coordinated and integrated services, and will play a meaningful role in improving health outcomes for underserved populations in the community. Great support with a 2/1 MA to Provider ratio and beautiful new clinic sites. Loan repayment options available for $25,000/yr, tax free!Job ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for patients of all ages, from pediatrics through geriatricsConduct patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical exams, diagnostic testing, and follow-up careDiagnose and manage acute, chronic, and complex medical conditionsPrescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with Connecticut state regulations and clinical guidelinesEducate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, diet, activity, and lifestyle modificationsRefer patients to specialists or higher levels of care as clinically appropriateDocument patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the medical recordParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, utilization reviews, and quality assurance activitiesCollaborate with clinical and operational teams to support efficient, coordinated patient careParticipate in limited phone-call rotation as requiredContribute to the training and mentorship of future family physiciansQualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited residency program in an appropriate specialtyBoard Certified or Board Eligible preferredActive, unrestricted Texas medical licenseExperience in an outpatient primary care or community health setting preferredStrong interest in serving low-income, multicultural, and underserved patient populationsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environmentPractice Environment & ExpectationsOutpatient, community-based primary care settingTeam-based model with strong clinical supportParticipation in quality, policy, and workflow development activitiesCommitment to the mission, vision, and values of community healthSkills & Focus AreasFamily Medicine / Primary CareChronic Disease ManagementPreventive CarePopulation HealthQuality ImprovementTeam-Based CareCare Coordination
