Substitute School Nurse (RN)

The successful candidate will be child-centered and responsible for providing health care to students throughout the school day.Responsibilities include:Providing direct health services to studentsAdministering medications per physician's ordersAssessing illnesses and injuries and providing appropriate careResponding to medical emergencies within the buildingSupporting the health and safety of students, staff, and visitorsJob QualificationsCurrent NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License requiredCurrent CPR certification requiredStrong knowledge of nursing principles, skills, and techniquesAbility to take initiative and work independentlyAbility to remain calm in emergenciesStrong communication skillsGood moral character
