With continuous learning, career growth, and a culture of trust, IBM offers the opportunity to help shape the secure and responsible use of technology that powers progress.Your Role And ResponsibilitiesAs a Solution Developer on the GRC Tooling team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive solutions that support the CISO Governance, Risk, and Compliance program. This role goes beyond traditional software development—you will leverage your experience to create integrated solutions that combine application development, AI-assisted engineering, data acquisition and transformation, API design, workflow automation, and software product configuration.You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions that address real-world problems. As an IBM developer, your mission is not just to write code, but to understand business problems and implement end-to-end solutions that bring together multiple technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and engineering approaches to enable risk management, compliance reporting, and operational efficiency.In this role, you will use modern AI-assisted development tools and practices to prototype solutions, accelerate delivery, perform analysis, ensure quality testing, and create documentation. You will apply sound engineering judgment to develop, secure, and maintain solutions and ensure they meet enterprise standards for quality, security, auditability, and operational resilience.Preferred EducationBachelor's DegreeRequired Technical And Professional ExpertiseA qualified candidate must possess the following skills and experience:Experience with JavaScript, Typescript, and related frameworks, Python, relational and non-relational databases, and API developmentExperience with container-based deployments and hybrid cloud operationsProven ability to design and implement logical, efficient, secure, and maintainable solutions to solve complex business challengesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutionsUnderstanding of secure software engineering practices, including secure build/deploy workflows, secure data handling and risk-aware designExperience leveraging generative AI as part of the software development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, documentation, and automationExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Preferred Technical And Professional ExperienceA strong candidate should also possess the following skills and experience:Experience implementing modern design and architectural patterns to deliver robust, modular, and scalable solutionsExperience integrating generative AI / LLM capabilities into enterprise applications/workflows, including agentic or tool-using patterns, orchestration, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)Experience evaluating and operating AI systems, including evaluation frameworks, output-quality measurement, and observability of model behaviorAbility to evaluate and manage risks associated with AI-generated code, model behavior, and enterprise data exposureDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
