Job DescriptionProject/Program: This position maintains nine OPWDD Java web applications (Daily Event Management System. Division of Quality Improvement Application, Fire Safety Portal, Incident Report and Management Application, Message Application Maintenance System, Respite Fee System, SEMP Employment Tracking System, SEMP Fee System, and The Basic Security for the Web). This position is responsible for all work involving design, development, testing and implementation of an application throughout the System Development Life Cycle. As needed, this position supports enterprise projects and provides training and mentoring to less experienced developers. Specifically, this position will play a lead role in the authentication replacement to Ny.gov for five of these applications listed.Day-to-day TasksThis individual will be expected to participate in the following activities:Design and create scripts for databasesDesign, develop, maintain, and enhance Java applications.Test applicationsCreate and maintain documentationAssist with implementation and ITSM incidents.Mandatory QualificationsSoftware Developer –Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.Expert84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.Requested Qualifications84 months of experience programming server-side Java web applications in a multi-tier environment using JDK 1.5 or higher60 months of experience writing queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers in Oracle 10g or higher.48 months of development experience in database design and object creation/modification of databases consisting of 20 or more tables in Oracle 10g or higher48 months programming experience with Java Server Faces.36 months of programming experience with Java Persistence API36 months of experience with Java Script/jQuery.We provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees regardless of race, color, sex, gender identity, gender expression, religion, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, medical condition, family care status, marital status, domestic partner status, sexual orientation, genetic information, military/veteran status, or any other protected basis.
