The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, API architecture, and payment gateway integrations. Candidates with experience in *Kotlin* and/or *Go (Golang)* are highly preferred.This role requires a hands-on engineer who can design, build, and support scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services in a modern microservices environment.*Key Responsibilities* * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java. * Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise-grade applications. * Develop and support integrations with payment processing and payment gateway platforms. * Work extensively with API Gateway technologies to manage, secure, and monitor APIs. * Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. * Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards. * Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance. * Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions. * Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. *Required Qualifications* * 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development. * Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. * Solid experience designing and developing REST APIs. * Hands-on experience with API Gateway platforms (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, MuleSoft, or similar). * Proven experience working with Payment Gateway integrations and payment processing systems. * Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and backend design patterns. * Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. * Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies. * Strong problem-solving and communication skills. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience with *Kotlin* development. * Experience with *Go (Golang)* development. * Prior experience in financial services, fintech, payment processing, or banking domains. * Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. * Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, API security, and authentication frameworks. *Technical SkillsMust Have:* * Java * Spring Boot * Microservices * REST APIs * API Gateway * Payment Gateway Integration * SQL/NoSQL Databases * Git *Nice to Have:* * Kotlin * Go (Golang) * Kafka * Docker * Kubernetes * Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) *Additional Information* * *Location:* Phoenix, AZ (100% Onsite) * *Interview:* One-shot In-Person Interview (No virtual option) * *Experience:* 5–7 Years *Priority Skills:* API Gateway, Payment Gateway Experience, Kotlin, Go (Golang), Java Backend Development.
