As an Assistant Wine Steward, you will play a crucial role in providing wine service to customers. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to the smooth operation of our establishment. Assistant Wine Steward Duties: -Be willing to learn the wines served, including production, regions, and flavor profiles -Advise customers on wine selection -Assist in maintaining the wine list, organizing the wine inventory, and selecting, obtaining, storing, and replenishing wine stock -Assist in organizing tastings, special events, and wine classes -Completing Opening and Closing Procedures -Adhere to health and safety regulations -Ensure that glassware, equipment, products are maintained and exceptionally clean Customer Service: -Greet guests and pour wines according to established wine tasting procedures -Describe wines and wine history -Provide helpful and knowledgeable advice to customers in a friendly and professional manner, establish what guests want to drink and serve them accordingly -Stay current on wine knowledge -Handle routine POS transactions Requirements: -Proficient in English -Minimum of 1 year experience in food and beverage or hospitality preferred Skills: -Customer Service -Communication -Thorough and Organized -Able to Multitask -Professional -Experience with POS equipment Join our team as an Assistant Wine Steward and be part of a dynamic environment where your skills and dedication will be valued.
