Traffic Control, Permanent Install, and Pavement Marking Technician
Traffic Safety Services (TSS) is seeking a dependable and safety-focus Traffic Control, Perm Install, and Pavement Marking Technician to support our team.Hourly wage: $20.00/hr.; prevailing wage for on-site work: $30.80 - $34.30/hr. otherwise. This is a seasonal position.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the company vehicle to and from job sites in a safe manner.Deliver, set up, tear down, pick up, and maintain traffic control devices.Assist any/all departments to ensure the timely completion of jobs and projects.Maintain a clean shop and yard.Wash, clean, inspect, maintain, fuel, and stock trucks, equipment, and vehicles assigned to jobs.Organize and maintain inventory.Independently load, securely tie down, transport, and unload trucks, trailers, and equipment.Safely lift, carry, and stack traffic control devices and other job-related materials as needed.Assist with the layout and application of pavement markings.Operate and change heads on small grinders.Operate a forklift and skid-steer.Perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.Adhere to all company policies and procedures.Follow safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.All other duties as assigned.Physical RequirementsRegularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance/equipment.Requires one to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms.Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, fumes, and airborne particles.Qualifications/Preferred ExperienceMust be 18 years old.Valid driver’s license, CDL is a plus, with a clean driving record. Previous experience operating a forklift, skid-steer, is a plus.Must have a reliable communication method to in order to receive work schedule.
