About the Job
Our Travel Sales Specialists travel to one or more regions to gain firsthand knowledge, which they use to craft personalized vacation experiences. Training includes a 2-4 week familiarization trip to destinations like Thailand, Vietnam, Portugal, Spain, Italy, or New Zealand, to learn about local guides, cuisine, lodging, and secrets—an invaluable part of the role.
Plan memorable trips for clients
Achieve monthly sales targets
Engage potential clients and explain Audley's services
Create customized itineraries prioritizing safety and satisfaction
Coordinate bookings with hotels, tour operators, and airlines
Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Participate in one Saturday shift per month (10am-6pm), with a weekday off, scheduled well in advance
One weekly shift from 11:30am-8pm
Qualifications
Willingness to travel 2-4 weeks for training in assigned country
Valid passport for international travel outside the US
Passion for inspiring others to explore the world
Customer service and sales experience preferred
Attention to detail and administrative skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to educate clients and answer destination questions
Location
In-person days are at our Boston, MA office in the North End. Employees are expected to be in the office at least 3 days per week.
Compensation
$51,000 base salary plus commission (typically $500-$1200/month post-training)
Coverage of 90-100% of insurance premiums
