As a hands-on technical leader, you will drive the architecture, design, and delivery of modern web applications for a fast-growing restaurant technology business, while actively coding, mentoring engineers, and partnering with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale web applications using React, Node.js, and Express.jsDefine frontend architecture and establish best practices for reusable, accessible, scalable, and high-performing React applicationsBuild and maintain responsive, modern user interfaces using React, TypeScript, Hooks, and component-driven designDesign and support backend APIs for online ordering, menu management, loyalty programs, customer accounts, payments, POS, and third-party integrationsCollaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutionsContribute hands-on code, review pull requests, troubleshoot complex issues, and support production environmentsMentor and guide developers through code reviews, technical coaching, and engineering best practicesSupport the full software development lifecycle, including planning, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and production supportPartner with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and release planningIdentify technical risks, manage technical debt, and provide daily, weekly, or monthly client updates as neededQualifications10+ years of professional software development experience5+ years of hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript3+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and Express.js3+ years of technical leadership and mentoring experience2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based deploymentsStrong expertise in React architecture, state management, accessibility, performance optimization, responsive design, and component reusabilityExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs, secure authentication and authorization flows, and scalable backend integrationsProven experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Agile delivery, and collaborative development workflowsStrong understanding of secure software development, networking, troubleshooting, and code quality practicesExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing consulting skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with Next.js, React Query (TanStack Query), Storybook, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or CypressFamiliarity with Redux or similar state management librariesExperience with HTML5, CSS3, LESS, SASS, responsive design, and mobile-first developmentKnowledge of Atomic Design, headless architecture, server-side rendering, SEO optimization, and WCAG accessibility standardsExperience with Azure Cloud Functions, Azure DevOps, and modern build tools such as npm, Webpack, Vite, and BabelFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools such as DataDog, Splunk, Azure Application Insights, or New RelicExperience designing microservices or event-driven architecturesBackground in restaurant technology, hospitality, retail, e-commerce, SaaS, POS, online ordering, loyalty platforms, or payment integrationsThe deadline to apply for this position is 07/07/2026The base salary range for this position is $106,087 - $140,000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
