Full Time CAD Designer

CAD DesignerC.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction Inc. of Central Illinois is a professional design build home remodeling company based in Peoria, IL and servicing all of Central IL. Owner Chuck Gabbert started the company in 1978, and it has been family owned and operated ever since.We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time CAD Designer.Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)Location: Peoria, ILResponsibilities:Primary architectural drafter for our companyAttend preliminary meetings with our clients to understand the project specifics and scope of work.Work with construction team to establish a time line & budget for designUse design software to produce 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the complexity of the projectResearch materials in large databases to identify the best materials for modeling.Get feedback from client and construction managers and revise designs as neededKnowledge of how to measure, using a tape measure or laser measurer for accurate dimensionsOrder materials AND tracking those orders once the project is sold.Know Residential CAD program, preferably Chief ArchitectCAD Designer Qualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent experience in design, architecture, construction engineering or similar field is preferredMinimum 2 years of work experience in architecture designAdvanced knowledge of architecture design software, such as Chief Architect Premier, Construction Drawings, 20/20, SketchUpStellar attention to detail, teamwork abilities, communication skills, and organizational skills.Must work in our office, 5 days per week.
