Adjunct In Physical Diagnosis An adjunct in physical diagnosis is responsible to teach in the lecture and/or laboratory setting. Adjuncts are assigned to provide instruction in a portion of the curriculum for which they have suitable training and experience.Responsibilities The following outlines the basic responsibilities of this position. Other duties are to be assigned as necessary.Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topicsParticipate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods as assignedPromote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students' needsServe on TouroCOM committees as assigned.Provide reports, budgetary information, and other documents as requested by department chairs, directors, and deansAdvise and mentor studentsParticipate in medical student admission interviewsQualifications Education, Preparation, and TrainingGraduate level degree (Master's or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities section.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient in the following areas: Relevant content expertise, research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective communication, conflict management.Computer SkillsBasic computer skills supporting the proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as software used to prepare and administer written exams electronically and experience with Learning Management Systems.
