Manufacturing Engineer
JOB SUMMARY: Manufacturing Engineer Plans, designs, arranges, changes, and optimizes a manufacturing process in an effort to achieve customer product and facility metric requirements.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Develop, document, and improve methods for laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, painting, and assembling parts to meet quality and efficiency standards.Enhance Production Efficiency: Analyze workflows, identify operator improvements, and implement process controls to boost throughput and reduce costs.Support New Product Launches: Design manufacturing processes, fixtures, and tooling for new products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and zero-defect goals.Collaborate Across Teams: Work with customers, suppliers, and internal departments on product design, tooling, training, and problem-solving.Manage Engineering Projects & Documentation: Lead projects, maintain accurate records, and support systems like ERP/MRP, certifications, and capital equipment planningOther duties as assignedJOB QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from accredited collegeNon-degree: 10+ years working within a technical environment at a metal fabrication facilityJOB QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED):Subject Matter Expert on one or more Manufacturing processesIf engineering degree is applicable, to have worked 3+ years in metal fabrication facilityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per dayAble to frequently walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and lift for 8-12 hours per dayAble to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environmentFrequent overhead reaching and reaching with both handsFrequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbsAble to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materialsBENEFITSCompetitive base salary401K for all employees with 3% company matchMedical, dental, and vision coverage (and additional coverages available)Company Paid Life InsurancePaid Time Off Policy + 8 corporate holidays + 1 Floating HolidayFormal training and development programRelocation assistance (if applicable)ABOUT IRONFORM:Ironform is a trusted Tier 1 metal fabricator, supplying market leaders in Class 8 transportation, construction, agriculture, mining, off-road, material handling, and industrial equipment.With 150 years of combined manufacturing experience across 6 facilities we are committed to providing high-quality products and services in an environment that is safe and fulfilling for all of its employees.We have created an expert team to achieve success for our employees, our customers, our company, and our investors.
