Food & Beverage Pool Supervisor

The Food & Beverage Pool Supervisor directly oversees the pool patio, snack hut, bar, and general pool area. This is a seasonal position beginning at the end of April and ending in early September. The Pool Supervisor will report to the Director of Food and Beverage and the Executive Chef.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementOversee all daily poolside food & beverage operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality service.Coordinate opening and closing procedures, including setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of all pool areas.Monitor service flow to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to Members and guests.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.Staff Supervision & LeadershipSupervise, schedule, and support a team of F&B staff and lifeguards, ensuring proper coverage during all operating hours.Lead a group of seasonal staff members (primarily college students) with a balance of approachability and authority.Train new hires on service standards, safety protocols, and Club expectations.Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals, menu updates, and service expectations.Culture & Team EnvironmentFoster a positive, energetic, and team-oriented work environment that promotes both fun and accountability.Set clear expectations for professionalism, punctuality, and performance while maintaining a positive team morale.Address conflicts or performance issues promptly, fairly, and constructively.Lead by example- demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and enthusiasm.Member & Guest ExperienceEnsure a high level of Member satisfaction through attentive service and proactive problem-solving.Engage with Members regularly to build relationships and anticipate needs.Handle complaints or service issues quickly and effectively, maintaining the Club’s standards.Safety & Lifeguard OversightCoordinate with lifeguards to ensure all safety protocols are being followed.Support enforcement of pool rules and emergency procedures.Act as a point of contact during incidents, ensuring that proper documentation is completed, and the incident is responded to appropriately.Inventory & Financial OversightMonitor inventory levels for poolside F&B operations and communicate restocking needs.Assist with ordering supplies and managing waste control.Ensure accurate cash handling, POS usage, and daily sales reporting.Communication & CoordinationThis individual will work closely with the Food and Beverage Director, Executive Chef, Clubhouse Manager, and Dining Room Manager in order to ensure that Members’ needs are met, and the staff is kept on task.Serve as a liaison between pool operations, kitchen staff, and Club management.Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth operations.Provide regular updates to upper management regarding staffing, operations, and Member feedback.QualificationsPrior food and beverage knowledge including food service, proper food storage, bar and drink knowledge, and cleanliness standards.ServSafe certification is a plus.The ability to lead and manage teams.A personable and outgoing individual who is comfortable interacting with our Members, quickly learning their preferences.Possessing strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet are crucial for busy days at the pool.A results-oriented individual who is organized and can multi-task.Previous experience in a private club, high volume food and beverage operation or similar organization is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying conditions.Job Type: SeasonalPay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourWork Location: In person
