Marketing Director https://thereading.group/ Position Overview The Marketing Director owns the full revenue engine of Spectrum Labs, balancing short-term sales with long-term brand protection. This executive role is responsible for driving all revenue streams; direct-to-consumer (DTC), wholesale, and brand protection while maximizing profitability, stabilizing wholesale volume, and safeguarding the authenticity and reputation of the brand. The Marketing Director leads a lean, entrepreneurial team and sets the commercial vision, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and customer success functions. Key Responsibilities Set and deliver commercial strategy for all revenue channels: DTC, wholesale, brand protection, and customer service. Lead all consumer/customer/competitor understanding activities Oversee e-commerce marketing, brand positioning, and go-to-market execution. Drive profitable growth, with a focus on capturing high-margin DTC revenue. Manage wholesale as a volume channel, ensuring stability and efficiency without over-investment. Develop pricing strategy across all channels. Partner with Brand Protection to safeguard margins, prevent counterfeiting, and protect product authenticity. Lead and mentor the Revenue Department, establishing KPIs, accountability, and performance metrics. Ensure each function is optimized for impact and cost-efficiency. Monitor, analyze, and report on sales, margin, ROI, and revenue trends to executive leadership. Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing, operations, and customer experience strategies with revenue goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in revenue leadership, sales, or commercial strategy, ideally with multi-channel responsibility. Proven track record driving high-margin DTC growth and managing wholesale or B2B channels. Experience leading cross-functional teams and optimizing operational efficiency. Strong analytical skills, with ability to translate performance metrics into actionable strategy. Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities. Preferred Skills Experience in consumer goods or regulated industries. Familiarity with brand protection, IP enforcement, or anti-counterfeit strategies. Deep understanding of pricing strategies, marketing ROI, and revenue forecasting Wages are negotiable within the competitive salary range set by The Reading Group.
