We are seeking a Physician - Gastroenterologist for a 144-day assignment in New York, beginning Jun 1, 2026. This role involves comprehensive weekday clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM (Mon-Thurs) and 8 AM to 3 PM (Fri), complemented by a 1:4 weekend call schedule for 24-hour coverage, managing a diverse range of gastroenterological cases, procedures, and patient consults.Responsibilities and DutiesProvide weekday clinic coverage from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday-Thursday and 8 AM to 3 PM Friday.Participate in a 1:4 weekend call schedule, providing 24-hour coverage.Manage a variety of gastroenterology, hepatology, and related cases including Colon Cancer Screening, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Liver Disease, and Pancreatic Disease.Perform typical clinical consults and follow-ups.Execute all GI procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, esophageal pH testing, sigmoidoscopy, and infusion therapy to treat conditions such as Crohn's disease.Additional InformationBoard Certification in Gastroenterology required.EMR System: EpicBenefitsStrong compensationTravel-related expenses coveredA-rated medical malpractice insurance providedDedicated recruiter for future travel opportunitiesWhat are Locum Tenens Jobs?Locum tenens jobs, sometimes referred to as travel assignments, are contract positions that help meet patient care needs at various healthcare facilities and hospitals for a defined period.
