Finance Manager

The Finance Manager oversees daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls across the general ledger, payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, taxes, and cash management.This role prepares financial statements, analyzes budgets, supports audits, and provides financial reporting and insight to executive leadership. It also oversees budgeting, policy compliance, and supervision of finance staff while ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy of all financial transactionsManage general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting processesPrepare and analyze monthly financial statements and budget vs. actual reportsMonitor cash flow, expenditures, and financial projectionsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirementsLead audit preparation and support external audit processesMaintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and proceduresOversee budgeting and financial planning across departments and programsSupervise finance staff, including training, performance, and workflow managementReview and improve financial systems, chart of accounts, and cost allocation methodsCollaborate with leadership on long-term financial planning and special projectsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field4+ years of progressive financial/accounting experienceAt least 2 years of supervisory or management experienceStrong understanding of GAAP, compliance, and internal controlsExperience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferredStrong analytical, communication, and leadership skillsProficiency in financial systems and standard business softwareAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
