Pay* We offer competitive hourly pay with shift differential incentives.Schedule & Incentives* This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus* Position with 24 hrs/week: Sat - Sun 7 am - 7:30 pm schedule* Benefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and more* Access to Wellstar's CareerCare program for fully funded education and guided career progressionJob Summary* The CT Technologist applies their expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Spalding Medical Center* Technologists at Wellstar are respected clinical professionals and essential members of a collaborative care team* If you're looking for a place where you're supported and where your well-being, career growth, and voice truly matter, you'll find it hereRequired QualificationsEducation* High School Diploma or equivalent* Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programExperience* Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology RequiredCertifications* ARRT-R (Radiography)* ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography* BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart AssociationCore Responsibilities* Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images* Work independently operating imaging or radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)* Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms or equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly* Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam* Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety* Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit* Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable* Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated* Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriately* Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers, retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed)* Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain and restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required* Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow* Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisorJoin us and discover the support to do more meaningful work-and enjoy a more rewarding life.
