Central Supply Tech

Description: Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Central Supply Tech. Location: Layton Antelope B Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Essential Job Responsibilities: Stock Central Supply rooms. Prepare various items to be sterilized. Clean, package, sterilize, and distribute instruments. Clean and stock procedure rooms each week as needed. Unload supplies from the dock area and distribute to the proper locations. Collect bio hazardous waste and package for disposal. Collect linen bags Purchase supplies. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Requirements: Six months Central Supply work experience preferred. Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted. Must be able to be on feet for entire shift including walking, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and walking up and down stairs. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Excellent communication skills. Organized, detail oriented, and professional. Ability to multi-task Excellent time management skills Performance Requirements: Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services. Knowledge of individual responsibilities to accurately direct callers. Skills: Adequate hearing to answer phone. Abilities: Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging. Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers. Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Work Environment: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 50 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
