Material Handler
Under general supervision, performs manual and complex duties in one or more of the following areas: receiving, packing, shipping and distribution of parts. Performs manual and clerical duties in material areas such as shipping, receiving, storing and issuing materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Receives materials, checks against documentation for completeness, identification and quantity; sorts, counts, checks received goods, raw materials, finished or semi-finished parts and subassemblies
Stores articles in proper location according to identifying factors; researches part numbers.
May prepare bills of lading, post weights and dimensions, stamp, stencil or attach information and shipping instructions on containers, load shipment onto carrier, maintain inventory of cartons, tapes, crates, clamps, foam and other packing material.
Pulls and fills orders and issues materials, supplies, components and parts from stock; prepares stock kits for production departments and verifies counts or documents the shortage.
Audits contents of kits and stock.
Physically transfers material to assembly work stations, maintains bench stock and handles completed assemblies between work areas or cost centers.
Prepares product for shipping
Qualifications:
Completion of High School or equivalent.
1+ years of work-related experience.
Familiarity with electronic and fabricated components/parts and stock items is preferred.
1+ Computing/Data Entry experience.
Pay: $18.20 per hour
