Location: Boston, Mass.Employment type: Full-timeSchedule: Monday through Friday, in personJob descriptionRegan Communications Group (RCG), one of the nation’s leading strategic communications firms with offices across the eastern seaboard, is seeking an experienced executive-level financial professional to oversee the company’s fiscal operations. The Financial Manager will be responsible for accounting, budgetary, and fiscal oversight duties, including tracking profits, expenditures, and liabilities; submitting tax filings; overseeing payroll and insurance functions; and maintaining intercompany and related company transactions. Reporting to the General Manager, this executive will advise company leadership on fiscal issues, monitor, and assemble comprehensive financial information, and provide a monthly (or more frequently when required) report that includes a balance sheet and a profit and loss statement. The Financial Manager will also supervise other personnel providing financial services to the company, including the accountant for RCG’s Digital Studios division.Responsibilities· Executive Team: Provide information and recommendations regarding company finances and fiscal best practices to other members of RCG’s leadership team, including its CEO, General Manager, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, and heads of affiliated RCG companies.· General Ledger: Maintain accurate and current record of company and subsidiary assets, income, expenses, liabilities, and balances. (Specifically full-cycle accounting responsibilities from A/P and A/R through the General Ledger (GL) and trial balance.· Payroll Oversight: Ensure accurate and on-schedule payroll submissions and maintain related records.· Tax Records: Prepare and submit federal and state tax filings; Complete required tax forms for sales and income taxes and submit to appropriate governmental agencies.· Insurance Management: Maintain company insurance policies and related requirements.· Intercompany Transactions: Maintain accurate and current reporting of transactions such as health, dental, and disability insurance, 401K contributions, and other deductions from company-wide payroll; oversee invoicing for Boston clients billed through subsidiary companies, all of which are processed from the Boston office.· Regan Digital Studio Finances: Oversee fiscal operations of Regan Digital Studios, including recording income and expenses for client campaigns; oversee RDS accountant.· Assistance to HR: Support company human resources operations by maintaining employee records related to wages and deductions, benefits programs, and updating company policies as needed.Experience/Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.· Current Certified Public Accountant license.· Comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting best practices.· Minimum of seven years’ recent public accounting and tax filing experience, with progressive responsibility supporting organizations of comparable scale and complexity, including multi-million-dollar revenue operations and a mid-sized workforce environment.· Must have experience using Quickbooks Online and Enterprise (Desktop).  · Established record of successful financial oversight, budgetary, and business tax filing duties.· Detailed knowledge of federal, state, and local financial and tax regulations.· Strong financial analytic skills, including ability to analyze transactions, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets to provide recommendations to company leadership for enhancing fiscal stability and growth.· Effective communication, management, organization, and computing skills, including proficiency with accounting software.· Close attention to detail.· Ability to fulfill multiple responsibilities and duties in a deadline-oriented field.· Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative environment.Why Regan?You will join a team of experienced, dedicated professionals at one of the nation’s leading strategic communications companies, with offices in Boston, Florida, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York City, Washington, D.C., South Carolina, and on Cape Cod.
