Your role involves interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring that all machines are running efficiently and producing high-quality products. You will also be tasked with performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on the equipment, monitoring machine performance, and adhering to safety and quality standards.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines, including milling machines, lathes, and grinders, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly.Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine settings and tool requirements.Material Handling: Load and unload materials and parts, ensuring that raw materials are properly secured and that finished products are handled according to specifications.Quality Control: Monitor machine operations and inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines, identifying and addressing any issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal machine performance.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety guidelines.Your Profile / Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience: 2-5 years of experience in CNC machine operation.Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, adjust machine settings, and perform tasks accurately and timely.Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Work EnvironmentExposure to moving mechanical parts.Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.Noise levels may require participation in the Hearing Conservation Program.The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $27.00-31.00 per hour (shift differential included). GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
