Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

We seek reliable RNs (Registered Nurse) and/or LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for pediatric patients on vent, trache and gtube care professionally and respectfully. You will work under the supervision of the director of nursing or a physician. RN/LPN professionals must be experienced, qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding but especially rewarding position. Responsibilities Record a patient’s medical history accurately Take and record vital sign measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate oxygen saturation and pain. Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. Monitor patients’ condition including intake and output and chart accordingly Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, etc., Collect samples for lab testing as assigned Provide emotional and psychological support when needed for family Communicate with patients’ family or friends to reiterate instructions received from providers Skills Successful completion of the RN license program is a must Proven experience as RN or similar role Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work as part of a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Perfect physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Experience with PICC line maintenance Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour Work Location: In person
