Title: Technical Program Engineer- Packaging DevelopmentLocation: Remote PST TimesDuration: Managed ServiceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBS in engineering or equivalent industry experience5+ years of hands-on program management experienceDemonstrated proficiency in consumer electronics design cyclesExperience working with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBS in mechanical, packaging, or structural engineeringExtensive knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes and print production10+ years of hands on program management experienceRESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Program Engineer for RL packaging products including Quest, Portal, Wearables, Accessories and/or new devicesEnd-to-end coordination of packaging engineering, design, and validation from product discovery through launchLead collaboration with industrial design, engineering, creative, legal, product management, compliance and operations to realize packaging visionGuide the team through ambiguous packaging definition, sourcing cross-functional inputs and influencing to find an optimized solutionDrive the execution of the schedule and manage day to day activities of the programPresent program updates to leadership, distilling key program information and highlighting risks and recommended mitigationsImplement process improvements and best practices for the organizationCollaborate closely with APAC suppliers for packaging buildsPossible domestic travelWork closely with engineering to compile and manage the packaging BOM (bill of materials) for all program skusSummary:The RL Packaging Team is focused on delivering consumer product packaging for all RL products (Metaverse, Wearables, Accessories and new devices).We focus on packaging that is sustainable, design-focused, and enhances the customer experience.This role will focus on developing packaging for Meta's warranty replacement and refurbishment for sale program. This role will stretch across all programs making it well suited for this service.The RL Packaging team seeks a Technical Program Engineer who has strong experience as a TPE in packaging development. As the packaging TPE, you will be responsible for collecting cross-functional inputs to support the team in designing, validating, and delivering product packaging at scale. You have a passion for problem solving and love finding creative solutions to help teams accomplish bold things.
