Our products are on the front lines of elevator construction worldwide – and our people are known throughout the industry for talent, dedication, and superior customer service.Position Summary:An Industrial Painter is responsible for painting elevator components and tooling.Essential Duties include but are not limited to:Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec’s core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity).Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and legal regulations, including Material Safety Data Sheets, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and Environmental Protection Act.Spray Painting of elevator components using spray gun while wearing proper PPE: respirator, eye protection, etc.Mixing of paintMaintain all paint equipment to ensure it is in working order. Maintain paint booth IE: Changing filters etc. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying lead or supervisor of said supplies.Regularly review and follow all ISO documentation relating to the quality system.Assist in Assembly when needed.Full-time/in-person attendance is an essential function of this job.All other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.Technical Skills:Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.Aptitude for learning company ERP, Epicor.Basic computer skills, data entry, and Microsoft Office.Adaptability to cross train in other departments to satisfy customer needs.Behavioral Skills:Detail oriented, flexible, and exhibit effective prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.Proficient verbal and written communication skills.Works effectively both independently and as a team.Works in a time effective manner and follows systematic approaches and conducts appropriate follow-up.Service and detail oriented.Can take directions and provide back-up support where needed.Education & ExperienceExperience in a manufacturing facility.1 year painting experience (preferred)High School Diploma or GEDWork Environment:This role primarily operates in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level is described as moderate, may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, requires the use of a respirator and limbs to operate machinery. This role requires occasional lifting to 50 lbs. and requires standing for long periods of time, kneeling, neck rotation, pushing, reaching, stopping/twisting, grasping/gripping, pulling, reaching overhead, and squatting. Near visual and far acuity, and the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech is required. This role is not eligible to considered for remote work.
