This is a language-agnostic role focused on strong software engineering fundamentals, architecture, and production experience. You'll collaborate across teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions, working with modern distributed systems and cloud infrastructure to deliver measurable business results.What to Expect in This Role (Responsibilities) ● Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle. ● Design, develop, and deliver low-latency backend applications. ● Translate business and user requirements into scalable technical solutions. ● Design microservices and distributed systems using sound architectural principles and design patterns. ● Write well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code. ● Work with relational and non-relational databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization. ● Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability by identifying and addressing bottlenecks. ● Build and maintain observability through logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts. ● Support production systems, investigate incidents, and contribute to root-cause analysis.Requirements ● 5+ years of professional software development experience in backend or distributed systems. ● Strong knowledge of software architecture, design principles, design patterns, and microservices. ● Strong experience with at least one modern backend programming language; Python experience is desirable. ● Production experience with non-relational databases such as Redis, DynamoDB, or MongoDB. ● Experience optimizing queries, indexes, and data access patterns for performance. ● Understanding of distributed systems concepts such as resilience, retries, timeouts, concurrency, and idempotency. ● Experience with cloud providers, preferably AWS. ● Familiarity with observability, CI/CD, and automated testing practices. ● Strong communication and collaboration skills. ● Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily remote collaboration.Nice to Have ● Production experience with Python backend services or APIs. ● Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. ● Experience with event-driven architectures or asynchronous processing. ● Experience supporting production systems or participating in on-call rotations. ● Experience with performance testing, profiling, or capacity planning.Benefits ● 100% remote ● Long-term commitment, with autonomy and impact ● Strategic and high-visibility role in a modern engineering culture ● Collaborative international team and strong technical leadership ● Clear path to growth and leadership within CoderioWhy join Coderio?At Coderio, we value talent regardless of location.
