Apprentice Carpenter/Laborer

Apprentice Carpenter *Position Title:* Apprentice Carpenter *Department:* Construction Operations *Reports To:* Lead Carpenter / Foreman *Employment Type:* Full-Time Position Summary Halliday Construction Corp. is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Carpenter to join our growing construction team. This position is ideal for an individual looking to develop a career in residential construction and carpentry. The Apprentice Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters and foremen, assisting with a variety of construction, remodeling, and finish carpentry projects while learning industry best practices and trade skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assist carpenters with residential construction and renovation projects. * Measure, cut, and install building materials under supervision. * Assist with framing, decking, trim work, siding, doors, windows, and finish carpentry. * Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment. * Prepare and maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites. * Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. * Follow construction drawings, plans, and instructions from supervisors. * Assist with demolition and site preparation activities. * Support other trades and crew members as required. * Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment. * Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. * Participate in ongoing training and skill development. QualificationsRequired * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Strong desire to learn the carpentry trade. * Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. * Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. * Strong work ethic and positive attitude. * Dependable attendance and punctuality. Preferred * Previous construction or labor experience. * Experience using basic hand and power tools. * OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain). * Construction trade school education a plus. Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor throughout the workday. * Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. * Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and construction equipment.
