We are currently seeking a Sales Representative for the NYC area. This role’s primary focus will be selling the Duvel USA portfolio of beers to targeted on and off premise accounts, by developing strong relationships with decision-makers, providing solutions to their business needs, and driving consumer trial and velocity. To do so, this person will be responsible for building and executing supporting programs and promotional activity, providing greater visibility and growing brand awareness. The Sales Representative will report to the Duvel USA Regional Sales Manager and will reside in or around NYC.Duties And ResponsibilitiesForm partnerships and professional relationships with key accounts to drive distribution, brand visibility, trial, and depletionsDevelop collaborative relationships and alignment with distributor sales colleagues to ensure execution against our priorities; motivate distributor sales force to achieve shared sales objectives and increase brand awareness and consumption Work collaboratively with the Duvel USA sales force to deliver revenue and distribution goals as outlinedParticipate in overall strategy development, tactical planning, and execution of local and national marketing programsProvide the Duvel USA Regional Sales Manager and Marketing Teams with on-going feedback, critical insights and recommendations Track and monitor progress and execution in all identified accounts and against specific programming using tools such as Lilypad and VIPFocus on selling products and increasing number of placements across distribution channelsConduct analysis to identify target accounts that are not being penetrated with Duvel USA products and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts. Continually maintain an updated target account list for new placementsEnsure proper merchandising standards are met by securing menu placements and accurate pricing, improving shelf position and placing point-of-sale items to drive consumer trial Plan and staff promotions, samplings, festivals, beer dinners, etc. as needed (note: includes evenings and weekends)Conduct wait-staff / bartender educationsBe responsible for the allocation and use of point-of-sale materialsCollect data on pricing, distribution, volume and general market information; compile and submit reports as required Operate effectively within budgetary guidelinesObserve all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of malt beveragesRepresent Duvel USA inside and outside of working hours with the highest of standards and integrityKNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIREDBachelor's degree preferredMinimum one to two years’ experience in the alcoholic beverage industry, preferably with at least one year at a wholesaler Self-motivation and the ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goalsStrong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct trainings/promotionsStrong work ethic and highly organized; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities while working remotely and out of a home officeAn intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personalityStrong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving resultsStrong judgment and professional maturityExcellent problem solving skills; mathematically proficientAbility and willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule: nights, weekends, occasional overnight travel Possesses a clean driving recordProficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power PointEmbrace the Duvel Moortgat values: Passion, Quality, Sustainability, & IntegrityOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
