Sanitation Supervisor
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Review, update, and improve sanitation procedures across American Bakery’s facilities to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation cleaning checklists for all areas, and working closely with the Quality Assurance team to keep all documents accurate and current.
* Create, adjust, and manage work schedules for sanitation staff, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed safely, correctly, and on time.
* Conduct daily cleaning verification and facility walk-throughs to confirm sanitation levels, and reporting any concerns or abnormalities immediately to management.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions when sanitation issues arise, ensuring continuous compliance with food safety and regulatory expectations.
* Collaborate with QA to train new sanitation staff and provide regular refreshers to keep practices consistent and effective.
* Coordinate with outside contractors or third-party cleaning crews (Pestex, etc.) when additional or specialized sanitation support is required.
* Ensure all sanitation staff follow SSOPs, GMPs, safety protocols, proper PPE use (gloves, and mask as needed), and chemical handling procedures at all times.
* Ensure sanitation crew attend and participate in all Food Safety and Quality Culture training sessions conducted by the QA team.
* Support the Quality Assurance team during internal audits, inspections, environmental swabbing and sanitation related investigations.
* Finding ways to improve sanitation efficiency and reduce recurring problems.
* Manage chemical inventory to ensure supplies do not run out and are used efficiently.
* Other tasks as may be assigned

*Job Requirements:*
* Experience in sanitation, preferably in food manufacturing.
* Experience supervising or leading a team is an advantage.
* Knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP basics, and chemical safety.
* Ability to communicate clearly and stay organized.
* Basic computer skills for documentation.
* Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, lift up to 50lbs, and work in cold, hot, or wet conditions while using proper PPE.
* This role works closely with Quality Assurance, Production, Maintenance, and Safety teams to ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and ready for production.
