All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: PRNShift: Day (United States of America)Address: 7700 S BROADWAYCity: LITTLETONState: ColoradoPostal Code: 80122Job DescriptionAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and TraumaPrevious Radiologic Technologist experience [Preferred]One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographersAbility to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accuratelyUp-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facilityAbility to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionalsKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industryAble to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipmentMust be able to read, write and speak conversational EnglishBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft OfficeMust be able to use computer system for data entry and retrievalPatient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populationsMust be able to independently perform radiographic procedures to departmental standardsDemonstrates ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectivelyAbility to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc.Maintain responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic ImagingResponsible to maintain all required continuing and annual educationKnowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/PositionsAbility to determine appropriate technical factorsAbility to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation SafetyAbility to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgroundsAdult/and child/infant CPR [Required]Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detailKnowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physiciansThis position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image qualityThe ability to communicate and receive instructions, verbally and written and carry them out as directedMust be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energyComprehensive knowledge of general radiographic proceduresAbility to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environmentStrong critical thinking skillsMust have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addressed the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs to the patient population served within the departmentEducationAssociate [Preferred]Bachelor's [Preferred]High School Grad or Equiv [Required]Field of StudyN/AWork Experience1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology programAdditional Information: Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
