Lead Production Operator
Production LeadThe Production Lead oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and in line with established quality standards. This role coordinates workflow on the production floor, supports and guides team members, and helps maintain a smooth, consistent operation across all shifts. One Production Lead will oversee the Arils department, while another will oversee the Juice Extraction department.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily production activities on the manufacturing floor to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output.Coordinate workflow across assigned lines or departments to maintain steady production and minimize downtime.Monitor hourly production metrics, including case counts, and take action to ensure targets are achieved.Read and execute the daily run plan accurately to meet operational and scheduling goals.Provide hands-on training and guidance to new hires and returning team members on equipment operation and workflow procedures.Support and supervise team members in the Arils or Juice Extraction department, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to standards.Enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all company safety policies at all times.Maintain a professional, respectful demeanor in all communications with staff and promote a positive work environment.Collaborate closely with the supervisor by promptly reporting any employee-related issues or concerns.Assist with inventory-related activities such as inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse inventory tracking as needed.Utilize ERP systems to support production and inventory management activities.Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.Operate or coordinate the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment as required for production.Ensure production areas remain organized, clean, and compliant with safety and quality requirements.Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buttonwillow, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
